Yesterday I went down to Tri-Cities RC Racing for the Benefit Race at Tri-Cities RC for the flood victims of Eastern Ky. It was a great event for a great cause. Steve Downs got a lot of great companies to come together and donate for a raffle to also raise money. With the help of Chris Nelson I was able to donate some TNR fuel for the raffle as well. In all close to $3500 went to Jeff Dixon’s church which is currently housing over 80 people who lost everything in the disastrous floods.

As far as the racing goes both of my Sworkz rides were great on VP PRO SSLW and Soft Cactus in the dry and Soft and SS Blades in the wet. The racing was tight with all of us in ebuggy. I had some good battles in qualifying with Miss Bella RC Racer along with Tom Mainella. I would end up with the overall TQ in both classes.

For the mains I stuck with some SS Blades which worked really well. I got out a good lead in the 20 minute nitro main and the REDS RACING Scuderia was ripping on TNR fuel. After the race was over the computer said I finished 4th but it turned out that for some reason several cars were missing laps. It didn’t count 6 of my laps. So if you look at the results I should have been on a 49 lap pace. all is well though and we were able to sort it out.

For ebuggy I knew it was going to be a good battle with Bella and was ready to drive hard. She unfortunately had issues and I went on to take the win. The new Reds 2100kv motor was insane with Factory Xtreme power.

In all it was a great race for a great cause. Really happen with how things turned out. Both cars drove amazing, the whole package has been working really well recently.
